DNA Profiling Laboratory

Forensic DNA processing requires a high containment facility capable of controlling the air flow to protect the laboratory space from contamination. Our design provides a positive and negative air pressure system which keeps dirt and debris away from the processing area.

Design requirements include seperate ante-rooms which provide a area for gowning prior to entering the laboratory rooms. Each room is segrated and does not permit a walk through process. This meets current UK Forensic Regulator guidelines on the control and avoidance of contamination in laboratory activities.

The GLSI DNA laboratory is based on either a static floor mounted unit or a portable trailer based unit which can be pulled by a trctor unit.

As with all projects of this kind the logistical element is critical to ensure the laboratory is functional in the field. Each of our laboratories requires movement to its desired location. This is what gives its unique purpose as it can be in situ where real-time processing can take place. We provide a full logistic service ensuring every unit is in place where it can be commissioned onsite to ensure every laboratory is fully operational.
