20FT BSL 3 LAB

Overview:

"BSL-3 laboratories are used to study infectious agents or toxins that may be transmitted through the air and cause potentially lethal infection through inhalation exposure. Researchers perform all experiments in biosafety cabinets that use carefully controlled air flow or sealed enclosures to prevent infection." Public Health England

The GLSI 20FT BSL3 Lab is available in either static or trailer based options with expanding side pods on each model. The expanding side pod provides an increase in the width of the internal space providing a greater work area for users, see the internal dimensions listed in the table below.

The use of mobile laboratories plays a vital role in as they can be mobilised quickly to the incident site. The internal fit out is completely customised to meet the workflow and processes needed. The solution is cost effective and provides a safe external laboratory where all contaminants can be isolated.

Mobile labs have been used in crisis events such as Ebola and COVID-19 as well as specialist environmental field studies. These laboratories are an essential tool in scientific response.

      2-rooms laboratory facility

  • 1-airlock laboratory facility:

    • n. 1 filter ante-room with airlock, airtight, between the entrance and the laboratory, surface ≥ 2 m2, with n. 1 external door and n. 1 door to the laboratory, preventing simultaneous opening;
    • n. 1 external compartment for installation and management of technical systems.
